Aspidistra elatior ( Cast Iron Plant )
A moderate growing, rhizomatous, clumping, evergreen perennial, reaching up to 2.5 x 2.5 feet in size.
The leaves are up to 24 x 4 inches in size.
Hardy zones 7 to 11 in partial to full shade on moist, humus-rich, well drained soils. Tolerating deep shade and dry shade, it is very tough and easy to grow.

'Asahi'
Forms a vigorous clump up to 3 x 3 feet in size.
The foliage is heavily streaked white towards the tips. It looks great at all times of the year, especially against red or a dark background.

Aspidistra zongleyi 'Yunnan Sunbeam'
A clump-forming perennial, reaching up to 3.5 x 5 feet.
